The fund manager

William Calvert

William joined AXA Framlington in April 1997 to head the Emerging Markets desk where he worked on both dedicated emerging markets portfolios and as part of the global investment team. He is portfolio manager for the AXA Framlington Emerging Market Fund. William has nearly 20 years experience in emerging markets. He joined AXA Framlington from LCF Edmond de Rothschild Securities where he was part of the country fund broking team. Prior to this he was a fund manager with Citibank, Municipal Mutual Insurance and English Association (which later became PK Banken). William was educated at Marlborough College, Wiltshire, and Bristol University, qualifying with a BSc in Economics.
