Fidelity Fund To Reopen
October 12th, 2006
Fidelity have announced that their American Special Situations fund is to reopen, 3 years after they soft-closed1 the fund to new investments.
Bob Haber now heads the fund, having taken over from the previous manager, Neal Miller.
The restrictions on the fund will be lifted on 23rd October, with investors paying a 3.5% initial charge (previously 5.25%), both inside and outside of an ISA. With the discounts applied for investing in the fund through Torquil Clark Investments, that means you’ll pay just 0.5% initial charge inside an ISA, or 1.5% outside.
- Soft-closed means that although the existing money in the fund was still being managed, new investments were actively discouraged.
