Fund Shortlist Change

February 20th, 2007

We have recently made a slight change to our Fund Shortlist. Our Investment Committee have agreed to change the New Star Tactical Portfolio to New Star Active Portfolio with immediate effect.

This change does not reflect badly on the Tactical fund, it is simply a case of us being restricted to a limited number of funds within the International/Active Managed sector, and until we can expand it further, we need to make sure that the four funds offered are a little more mainstream.

Both the Tactical and Active funds are run by the same team, with the same processes and research, it is simply the case that while the Active fund has certain benchmarks in place, the Tactical fund can invest anywhere and in any proportion, to follow areas where there is the strongest conviction, making it more speculative and volatile.

Find out about how funds are selected for our shortlist.
