We are always looking to unearth new opportunities for more cautious investors. So here is the latest offering in the series of capital protected products from L&G. It is designed to provide 160% of any capital growth in the FTSE 100 Index and capital protection at the end of six years. Even if the market falls you should get the amount you originally put in, subject to repayment by financial institutions.
You must hold your investment for six years, however, as the FTSE 100 Index can go up and down, there is no certainty that it will have grown at the end of the period. The Early Payment Feature means that if there has been a rise in the FTSE 100 Index of 15% or more on the third anniversary, then you get back 25% growth plus your original capital, and your investment will then end.
Should the Index have grown by less than 15%, then your investment will continue for three more years.
