If you are feeling more adventurous and want to take advantage of the lower prices now available after the stock market falls over the summer, this fund is worth investigating.
The fund has proved to be very popular with investors, quickly rising to over £400m in size since launch last year. The ten managers used (five for both the UK and Overseas portions) are high-profile individuals from groups like Artemis and New Star.
By combining a range of investment styles, it ensures exposure is gained to different areas of the market. So far the returns have been sufficiently high to fully justify the larger cost of investing in it. Provided that you are aware that the managers have significant scope to pursue their best stock ideas, and that the fund is likely to perform very differently from more mainstream funds, then this could be a good addition to your portfolio.
