New Fund: Skandia UK Strategic Best Ideas
October 1st, 2007

Skandia has recently added to its family of “Best Ideas” funds, with the launch of UK Strategic Best Ideas.
You may recall our article in our bulletin last autumn on the launch of the UK Best Ideas fund, however this fund is different as it is a UK equity fund which can make money out of shares which can rise (called “long” investing) and fall (called “short” investing).

It is the potential to profit even when stock markets are falling that makes this fund unique.
Skandia’s Chief Investment Officer, together with two other well-known fund managers, have the back-up of a 20 strong research team. The three of them will decide upon the ten managers who will search for their ‘Best Ideas’ for stocks to invest in. Access to broader opportunities and the potential to be less volatile in falling markets, are compelling reasons for considering adding this to existing UK invested funds, this should prove to be a good diversifier in many investors’ portfolios.
