Jupiter Strategic Bond Fund

Bond funds are receiving a great deal of interest at the moment, with some interesting opportunities available.
So when Jupiter consulted us about launching a flexible approach to investing in this area we felt this could be good news for our clients.
The fund launched on 2nd June and will target an income of 7%.
The important point is that this fund will invest across all areas of the fixed interest market, ranging from cautious (which includes government backed debt like UK gilts) to adventurous (where the interest payable is greater but the risk is less certain) and therefore you get a mixed approach. The manager joined Jupiter over 10 years ago, he is best known for jointly running the fixed interest parts of two of Jupiter’s most succesful funds, high income and global managed. A fund like this ensures a foot in both camps for fixed interest investors, with the manager varying the mix of fixed interest positions according to changing market conditions.
